Cheers Moorsey, I'm off to my local pond this weekend so will give your suggestion a go. Even though I'm aware of fluoro I hadn't given it much thought as I've been to pre-occupied with braid. Anything that helps to prevent ruining my presentation is good as I've been using silicone tubing to help prevent the 'old tangles'. The trouble is I'm convinced the wiley old lumps at my local pond run a mile from anything they've seen before. Anyway thanks for the advice will let you know how I get on. Cheers again

I'm a returning fisherman after many years away from the sport. I'm trying to understand the use of braid. I have 10 lb mono main line and wanted to know what size braid to use as a hook length, as all the rigs that i read about tend to use braid? Would really appreciate any help on this one. Cheers
