Hi Paul, u catch much on Thurs, im planning to go next Tues and Weds.

Im hopefully going to be joining Verulam Angling Club soon and there are a few nice lakes that u can fish on in the area, so that could be an idea for u. Im pretty sure u can do night fishing at one of them aswell!

I went down on Sunday for about 4hrs and fished the beginnning of the Match lake,caught a 6lb and 8lb carp....not 2 bad...to be honest i was just happy to catch!! Hopefully the first of many this year!

I just used a simple method feeder and boilie and fished opposite the two islands. I fished as close to the islands as I could but with no success . Im probs going to go back to the Match lake at the weekend as iv caught most times when iv fished there....but who knows with the water levels at the mo!

I went to Willows last week and fished on the farm lake, i didnt get a single bite! i spoke to a couple of ppl there and they said the farm lake had flooded a week before and not to fish there untill the water levels go down. I noticed that the match and farm lake were one as well. I went the day after and someone was on the match lake with three rods and had not had one bite for 4hrs. I will prob go back nxt week to see how its fishing so will let you know.
