Hello. I live and fish in Cornwall. In August, I have the chance to have 48hrs on the bank 'up country' as I take the family to visit relatives near Banbury.
I'm trying to track down a decent day ticket venue in the Banbury area, within about 50 miles radius. I fished Drayton Reservoir (hated it) and Clattercote (better, plenty of fish but bit with limited night fishing space), last year.
I am toying with the idea of visiting the Linear Fisheries complex if there are no other options, but this may be a bit too commercial for me, I don't know I've never been.
Anyone got any knowledge of venues they could recommend in the Banbury area? They don't have to be runs waters, not rock hard either though please. Somewhere that is pleasant and picturesque, with the chance of the odd fish or two.
