what is good for pinning pop ups down i generaly use shot but i always um and argh about them as im sure they are just to blatent and shiny silver , i no u can get putty is it any good or is there any way i can camo my shot ??

drayton just get there early choose a good peg preferably boards due to large amount of room and jsut establish your peg then you have all your space and a lot of open water .

rite now were talking haha .well mainly carp erm sum bream i think :s and 200 brown and rainbow trout (mental).carp range frm all sizes to about 25 lbs most are either a pounish (pasties) or around 5-8 lbs but all sizes realy. the lake is long wiv some long broken islands in the middle . 1 big tip neevr fish the same spot there they are so weird you may get a spirt for an hour where u r catching then nothing. move lines have around 3 lines. one down the margins, one down middle, one against the island and reguraly rotate the swims otherwise they will go off the boil. biggest tip ever take a couple of cans of corn feed a whole one at the strt of session down the margins feeed big hands of it reguary and jsut look for clouding and tails you will catch many bigguns down there . but they do fight like deamonds so i do suggest strong elsatics when down the margins . hope this helps tell me how u get on tight lines liam (16)

halo carpoholic blimey that is hard going what sizes wheer they ?? i dont know the pegs but i caught from the double peg on the left of the graveyard i caught a 14 2oz on method from the opposite bank quite near the trees with a yellow pop up tucked in so it floated about 1 inch above the method mix in the last half an hour and my dad asleep he didnt even realise i had hooked one typical dad haha well tell me how youo get on bye

o nice i did my 1st overnighter there i gt a 14 2oz a 10 11 a 4 and a beautiful 16 1oz came at 1 10 in the mornin and then i had 2 stay up 2 watch the rods as most of the alarms wouldnt work haha nto very comfy floor to sleep on though local radio and carling kept me same that night i caught a 11 under a small tree when i threw all my spare bait in on the last cast . i find halibuts are very good and also method always work v well i will give your tips a go the match laake is rubbish .

hey mate ross 01775 761690 yeah will be tough what tactics are you going to use float or carpin ?? all my bites came on 6 mm natural colour brown pellets so odd couldnt get a bite on any others but my dad got 6 on scopex strange but soft 6mm i think corn will aso be a winner but didnt take any idiot.use a shotgun feeder and micros are essential place pellet in with micros and wait 10 mins all you have to do is cast it around do be acurate and hit the same spot cast anywhere from 20m up to the islands and you will get them.pegs 22 23 are v good lots of open water anywheer along that bank being near the tree is good but it is to cold and they like to stay further out i tryed pole but feeder much better .

hi lee i can c your point luckly we found some moving water on the rivers so can keep tickin over 4 a wile but luckily warming might get 2 go 2 lake soon with any luck. yes i got a 101 and staggerd is an understament what a pole 4 that money and with a half meter extension 4 tops a cupping kit with cups an bag i mean wow realy good loking smooth and responsive but i have yet to hook a carp due to weather aaaarrrgggghhhh .but unfortunately my top 3 has broken as not all top kits were inn tubes and something my netbag (main suspect) heavy fell on it and broke it btu im ordering a new 1 2moro still at 15 could do with not spending £45 but my fault so .anyway tell me how u get on and good luck for the weekend if you go.

sorry mate basicaly i went to gedney bout 2 weeks ago for a short session, i fished for 3 hours and only got 2 carp so i decided 2 move by the island and fished waggler bout 6 ft out with corn and meat and recived 11 in 2 hours by just firing 10 pellets every 5 mins sorted and went home a happy man. p.s bites were tiny none of the bites took the float under and 2 did n i missed them both but good sesion

oooopppps went to naseby 2day and well all of it was coverd with one inch of soild ice so smashed up tp 7m and then just fished mag and pole all day and nothing at all not a single bite same for my freind . bloody hard 2 find isnt it. u been this weekend

thanks th etips went 2 day n got 1 fish but only 3 other caught so not bad but will keep tips in mind much apreciated.i have had my rod pulled in but due to cork handle it floated so i hooked it at 70m out lol and then hooked the rod with fish still on ended up with rod(my grandads hyperloop) and 9lber on the bankk so ok lol.
