  1. I think the man you should be speaking to is smokey, he nows the place well, but from my experience there I would say hold back on the feed you dont need much, and keep to small baits, I did well on 10mm shellfish bollies topped with fake corn, like I said tho smokey will probably be able to help you more, or failing that just speak to Kev when you get there he is a baliff on there and he was the one who put me straight Barry is also a good person to speak to he is a sound bloke, he is the manager there, he's mainly a cat man but he knows how to get the carp out too
  2. I wouldnt bother waisting your money chaps it really is pants, the only thing that place is good for is bit bashing, and yes most of the fish are pasties, there are a few nice fish in there but they very rarely come out, you may as well through a tenner down the loo as to go there
  3. Mallards is defo a runs water you wont go short on action but like they say they are mainly small fish however i have seen a 22 come out
  4. Hi boys me and one of my mates have fished here a few times my mate has had 1 18lber, all mine were under 10lb, caught loads of fish even in the cold, the only thing wrong with this place is that it isnt the cleanest of places and the fish are all damaged in one way or another, still its worthn a bash i think.
  5. no mate they have gone now, they aint been there for about 10 years now.
  6. ill see if i can get a copy of the stock record book as my mate has it and there is only a few carp ever stocked in there mate
  7. and what makes you say that deano
  8. Hi Ugly, My mate lives opposite this lake a knows the owner very well, and from what i have been told there is no carp in there, ther used to be a handfull in there many years ago however these have since been removed and a couple died, i can assure you mate this is a bream and pike water only, however i know there are 2 carp in there now as my mate put them in 5 years ago at 5lb each, however these could of been eaten by one of those massive pike. as for pershall next door, this pool does contain carp however not very many probably only about 20, with 85% of them being under 20lb, this pool has small cats in too and also pike, the lake is only about 3 acres but it is very hard going, but if you up for a challenge then i would recomend it if you can manage to get a ticket as you will need to be recomended to the club by someome who is already a member, hope i have helped you a little, if you need to know anything else feel free to pm me and i will try to help you out.
