  1. Are you on about millride? or the 2 pools that are just behind it?, If its the ones behind it can you even fish there now?, The old bloke that owned was a nice guy however im pretty sure hes sold it because i got my head bit off for walking around it apparently its a private club water???

  2. To be honest i was told about it by a local tackle shop who said it fished really well, Had a wonder down there yesterday and the place didnt do anything for me the land looked over grown and had a strange feeling ( not a good vibe ) about it for some reason?? , Spoke to one of the guys fishing he said hes had a few to 25+ out.

Dont think ill be going if the fish are that bad then

  3. I spent 3 days down there at the back end of sept, weather wasnt great. first day we spent on the first pool you come too. we had a few small carp about 6 -7 pound on maggots and corn.

edward the owner was tellimg me he as some 35lb carp in this pool, best fished with worm - maggots

the following 2 days we spent on the pools over the back, we had about 20 to 30 out 5 - 10lb of the top using bread and 100 plus smaller stuff on the maggot

more fish in this pool but mainly smaller size.

all in all a really nice place to fish, you need to speak to edward before you fish these pools also he does allow night fishing once he gets to know you.

PM me if you want his contact number

  4. mostly seen people feeder fishing on swan pool but that was ages ago, cant remember what baits was being used.

As for the pool on the park ive not seen anyone fishing it for years ( dunno if you still can? ) , like i said before ive seen carp in there last year in the summer lots of times, if you park by the steps when you walk up them youll have the pool infront of you, walk round to the left corner ive seen good heads of carp about 30 mt out from the bank.

  5. fished this place lots, in its day you could bag up easy hybrid Crucian carp/carp/tench/perch/bream. some weekend you had to be early to get a peg  , this was a good few years back ive not seen anyone fish it for ages or even if you can fish it now.

if your down that way you may want to check tipton canal out it holds lots of good sized carp
