  1. Only too please to help. I am also not a fan of catch 22, went there about 18 months ago for a week and wasnt that impressed. Best of luck at Taswood, there are plenty of other lakes around too if you ever want to try somewhere different.
  2. Hi Nick, Personally I would avoid Swangey main lake. This is just my opinion, others may disagree, but its not really the lake to get a bend in your rod. I have fished the 2nd lake a few times and caught some decent double figure carp. The main lake is always full and has lots of unwritten rules about how far out you can cast etc. This was how it used to be anyway, I havent fished it for a few years so might have changed. Taswood can't comment as I havent fished it. If you wanted a bend in your rod you could have tried somewhere like catch 22 that's fairly easy. Drop me a PM if I can be of any more help and good luck
  3. Hi Ian, Just sent you a PM. Im based in Norfolk too and most day ticket waters are about £20ish for 24hrs, that seems to be the going rate. You have places like catch 22, pentney lakes etc Drop me a line if you like. Cheers
  4. Excellent, thank you very much. That was just what I was after, very useful pictures. Cheers!
  5. Thanks very much for the help, I didnt expect to find anyone on here this early on a Saturday morning
  6. Thanks for that, now that is simple lol I wanted to make sure everything was pinned down to the bottom, so wasnt sure if I needed to use tubing or maybe some putty to keep it all down? Yes I know I sound like an idiot
  7. Morning all, Saturday morning and I am sat at work, after last nights footie I think I will stick to the carp fishing! Anyway, this may seem like a really stupid question but rigs have always been my down side and I was wondering if anyone can show me a very simple running rig, which does not use leadcore? If you have pictures on how to construct this rig or a link to youtube etc then even better. I know I must sound thick but carp fishing is still relatively new to me and my small brain can't cope with all these over complicated rigs lol Cheers
  8. Hello All, Only my 2nd time of posting on here, so be gentle I haven't done a great deal of fishing lately due to work commitments but now looking to have a good go this season. I was a member of Swanton Morley lakes about 12 months ago but didn't have much luck. I mainly stuck to Willow Lake, but I know Grebe has a 30 in it. Wondering if anyone has fished or still fishes this venue? Im mainly after the carp but I don't mind the odd tench too. Any hints or tips would be appreciated. Many thanks
  9. Hi there, I have fished Reepham a few times as my parents live locally. It's a very friendly fun fishery and you can not fail to catch. Lots of small carp, tench, roach etc. In the warmer weather they take it off the top. Worth using bigger baits as the small fish will get there first if you use maggots etc. In my opinion it's a fun family type fishery, not really a serious big carp water and I think you are only allowed one rod and no night fishing. Great fun lake though and I will be going back many times in the next few months im sure. Hope that helps!
