The majority of the waters round there are owned by the Godalming angling society who do have guest passes but they must be accompanied by a member. I too have looked on google earth for this area and have seen this lake by the A3, but I have lived in Guildford for 18 years and have never seen it. My only explanation is that it's part of the flood plains. The only place that I know round here is about half hour drive from Guildford on the A281 called Furnace Lakes Fisheries. This is a great location and has a monster Catfish weighing in at over 100 pounds. I have never seen it myself but have seen photos. I have fished here and it's lovely. Very peaceful. Google it, it's well worth the trip.
