unlucky. with the frozen. i rang up a pool a month ago to ask if there were any matches on that weekend and was told no, so i was well chuffed as been trying to fish it again for a while but always matches on at the weekend. got there really early with my mate in the rain and put up the bivvy which mind you is a old type with the poles you got to put together and put through it all, i hate it man got to get myself a good new bivvy lol. anyway, that took us a good 20 min in the rain, then we were both setting up are second rod after we got every else out ready and we notice a few guys coming to the ponds with there gear and then we saw more. then we get told theres a match on which was booked last minute and we could fish for free next time but we have to leave now. i tell you man, i was not a happy camper

cheers mate. theres some big carp in there and by the sounds of it if your alarm goes off it could be a big one. hard to catch the carp but i like that, i dont like it to easy

have you been to coombe abbey recently, ive been told you need to no which pegs to fish, is that so? do you no a good peg, ive never fished there and i dont think a lot of people have, ive never heard anybody talk about it. whats in there?

thanks. yes, its my first season carp fishing and its nice to catch so i get better. i havent got into the doubles yet and im hoping i will by the end of the year. i went to blue bell lakes for 48hs and didnt catch a thing so its nice knowing i will catch going to makings runs water. but i will go back to blue bell when im ready

anybody know how big the carp get up to at phase 1 lake 1? i went there for the first time last week for a few hours and had two 7lbs and one 6lb. i liked it there, nice place and the food van is good aswell so im off there again this sunday for a full day.
