  2. Fished it a few times last season nice lake but a bit pricey £25 for 24 hrs some nice carp biggest seen out 28 but reports of over 30s caught .Weed can be a problem in summer and can get a bit busy at weekends/holidays .Worth a go if you don,t mind price .
  3. Cromwell lake worth a go not to far from A1 pits.Nice lake some nice carp a bit busy at weekends .Also sapphire lakes in same area as well as smeatons.
  4. Hi all anyone any info on a lake called day to remember going as a guest and wondered about rules , stock ,tactics .Any info at all would be very helpful.
  5. Bottom quite clear some nice weed beds on opposite side worth a try if matches on .Dont go mad with pellets cause of bream small pva bags with pop ups or tigers usually catch.Good luck mate.
  6. Try platforms in front of car park or over rail track.tickets about £50 for nights with 2 rods can pay extra for 3 rods
  7. go before 6.30 so not to pay to go in. Price was per rod which makes it expensive .You used to be able to buy a season ticket for £50
  8. had afew tench biggest just under 9 .Not many lakes nearby holding big carp (30 +) i tend to travel .Butterly res not bad carp to mid 20s and plenty of action.
  9. Big lake best for carp of any size but not to many in there . Fished it two seasons but only had about a dozen out up to low 20s road side pegs best try down margins with boilies but fed heavy with corn, pellets, mini boilies to attract tench .If you can get tench feeding you can get odd carp .If all else fails try lob worms . Can be very hard water but good luck
  10. Very hush hush biggest Ive witnessed 34 but probably do bigger . Best to locate fish first because you could be fishing 1 mile away
