I allways check my rig and hook before/after I cast and catch. For damge and bluntness/sharpeness.
I never check mine after I have cast cos I think swimming out will scare the fish

In korda part 6 lumpy sits/lays on the bomb because he know he can't get hooked if he does.
I tie the hook on the braid and hook it in the starbaits rig bag and measure the lenth so it's not to long.
