  1. Also the Carp may get used to rigs of a certain length and so move a particular distance to "feel" for the Lead, so that they can use the Lead to eject the Hook.

     

    That is what it has got to do with it.

  2. I allways check my rig and hook before/after I cast and catch. For damge and bluntness/sharpeness.

     

    I never check mine after I have cast cos I think swimming out will scare the fish :lol::oops:

    Mine is a Liner Liner rig. Not the best picture I scaned it because I could not find one on the net.
