only problem is mate its normally rammed with anglers!!! and theres never any room to secure your bivvy down!! especially as the water level is so low! you recon ive got just as good a chance on thorpe lea or brasenose??

Thinking of fishing Drayton on friday for 24 hours!! taking a newbie to the sport so want plenty of runs to keep them interested!
Would you say Drayton will be easier than thorpe lea and brasenose one? what would you go for??cheers

yeah mate, probably 95% of the carp in there have mouth damage, I did 36 hours on there before christmas and had loads of fish of the dam wall, biggest was only 14 mind you

Hi guys,
Im having abit of trouble with a new hooklink material i bought!
I got the esp ghost in 15lb and i find its not straight when i tie the knotless knott, it curls over on itself,
Any advice

I obviously know the simple sliding lead set up, i am now moving on to leadcore etc.

Has anyone got any basic rigs to share!
I just want a rig that i can tie and have confidence that when Mr carp comes round the corner hes going to get it right in the chops rather than seeing my rig and spooking off.

Hi Mate
Just thread your mainline through the tube and feeder and it should come out the other end.
then tie a swivel onto your mainline and push the swivel through the feeder.

get ur marker rod out and find a clear patch! days, weeks, months when you find it you'll be laughing, at least for a while
also dont forget that they may only be collecting the weed AS ur reeling in!
How big will this patch be? ive heard that if u tighten down of the lead you will feel a bang, then you know youve hit a clear bottom?

I was recently fishing a syndicate in milton keynes and as i brought my rods in i found the rigs intirely coverd in weed!
then i thought genius why dont i try a pop-up!then when i brought that in it was coverd in weed!
I spoke to a guy and he said the whole lake bed is coverd even on the gravel bars!
Can anyone out there help me??

Im thinking about purchasing the fox camo leadcore with lead clips.
can i use 10lb main line tied to the 45lb leadcore?
Do i just tie my rig onto the ring or onto a swivel and then my mainline?
