  1. Isn't this the same article, where he says korda hooks were the hardest to sharpen? and were really sharp to beging with?

I do remember a mag saying something along them lines, not sure if it was carpology

  2. Not sure wether it was Carp r us, but did anyone ever get round to using their mag aligner? I remember a way back lots of people was saying it was going to be huge yada yada, because of the extra grooves they had put on the maggot, meaning it would catch better.

Does, Did anyone use it? Thought it was just a fad at the time, seeing as ones without grooves had been on the market for an age.

(seeing as the forum is dead, thought it may give someone something to discuss)

  3. So yeah progressing from my last question (about braids inside a coated braid being still quite supple but frey less than normal braids) ive decided i am going to just buy coated braid, and keep peeling all the coating of, but to be honest the only coated braid ive used is Fox insider, so im just curious as to whether all coated braids are like this. Im going to buy a coated braid of the net, in a moment, and would be extremly dissapointed if i recieved it and found out the inner braid was just as easily frayable (is it a word) as the merlin braid i bought earlier this week. So yeah if any of use would answer the question ive hidden  somewhere in this text, id be extremely greatful.

  4. well yeah, im going to sound like a idiot now, but here goes, When you strip back coated braid, it contains a firm, stiffish material and a material that doesnt fray. Yet when i buy normal braid E.g kryston merlin, it frays very easy and doesnt seem as compact as the braid inside the coated braid, So is their a hooklink material, i can buy which is like the braid used inside the coated braids

  5. 1st that dependant on the size of hook and size of boilie the proberbly is a ratio for this but i dont know it:D

2nd the lenght of rig you mean????

then this depends on person prefrence

mainly the averange lenght is 9" nowadays but used to be about 12"

but some like em as short as 3" or a 1"

3rd do you mean the loop slides and becomes just a knott

i do a over hand loop which before its tighten looks like a figure of eight

4th whats the braid for ?

size 6 hook and usually tuti fruti :D

yes 3rd that is what i mean, do you know of any knots which tie the loop or any sites that show it? 4th i think its for silk but theres weed also, is there any that suits most??

  6. well id just like to know a few measurements (all these all for a hair rig)

Ok how much distance from the hook to boilie?

How big should the actual rig be

And how the hell do i tie the loop for the boilie, so it stays completly as a loop sometimes mine pull in :'(

And whats the best braid :P
