Report winter hair in UK Rig Tying Posted December 22, 2005 I prefer the hair to be longish, about 1/2" off the bend of the hook to the boilie. I have used longer but found this length suits me fine. I have heard of people using hairs as long as 3 or 4 inches, but not tried them myself.
