Have any of you used rubber bands to hold your bait? I use a homemade dough bait made with a peanut by-product, emulsified peanut oil, flour, molasses,ect,ect, ect. It makes a tough dough. I roll a rubberband into the dough and nuke it ultil hard. Then I just loop the rubberband on the hook! It's awesome! The dough slowly disperses the oil and stuff into the water. It's kind of milky looking because of the elulsified oil. (This is a larger rubberband than I usually use)
