  1. That seems like a good idea to me! I don't know how well a fish would hook itself with that though?
  2. I know the Grinner knot (at least I think that's what it is!), I use that for tieing rigs to mainline etc. Cheers for that link Trees, there's a lot of good info on there. Looks like I need to learn the knotless knot.
  3. True, I need to find somewhere where I can find all the knots etc to start doing it. I need a lot of info for tying my own rigs tbh!
  4. At the moment I would do yes! I'm sure I'm not the only person who doesn't tie his own rigs though. I will learn to do it one day, I just haven't got round to doing that yet, and instead of paying over the odds for pre tied rigs in the shops I get them from this bloke off ebay.
  5. I've been buying my ready made rigs from Ebay now for a long time from this bloke, I must say that he is very helpful and his rigs are top class, saves a lot of money too!
  6. We're going to France fishing veyr soon and all of the carp are around 30lb upwards, and then there are cats up to 45lb. What sort of rig should I go for? Braid or line? What breaking strain? around 15lb? What size hooks? About size 6? My main line will be either 10lb or 18lb (going to start with the 10lb). Many thanks Matt
