Hello

 

First post, just joined, so apologies in advance for lots of potentially noddy questions

Been years since I last fished, and I'm hooked again.

 

1. I got myself a Leeda 11ft float road, and went up to Manor Farms Lake north of Biggleswade. Had a great afternoon fishing with Stu the coach. Landed a 9lb card (on Stu's rod to be fair)

2. I have 4lb line and size 18 hooks. Dear God they are fiddly in the cold!

3. Was thinking about getting a second shorter rod (Like a Dwarf 9' for portability as much as anything) and upping hook size to say at 12, line 10lbs. Does that balance out, and are Dward rods any good?
