Hi everyone I’m from kings lynn I fished Oxborough last year but that has now closed to night fishing so I’m looking for a new home for the season. Had planned on trying Woodlakes but it is currently closed for spawning so that will have to wait. Looking for somewhere to go next weekend I’m on a bad run of luck now 10 sessions without a catch so is there any run waters within about hour of lynn other than willowcroft that anyone can recommend please. Need a conference boost 😂

Hi everyone. Looking for some information about venues in Norfolk around kings Lynn. I’m look to take my 14 yr old on his 1st trip night fishing looking for a lake that’s not difficult to fish during the day to keep his interest. But I’d also like some bigger fish in there. I’ve heard Fendicks is a nice well kept lake and in now open to children. Anyone on here know anything about the lake. How it’s fishing or any baits that are working well at the moment?

At 6ft 5 not sure a lo pro would be an ideal purchase for me. I think I’m ordering the prologic VX3 tomorrow morning 👍

Hopefully.......... Not sure why my mates say I have commitment issues 😂

This is exactly my worry mate. Promo vids never tell you what you need to know. And at £350 it could turn out to be an exspensive mistake. Which is why I’m hoping someone on here has had some dealings with it. Not seems I convince myself that it’s the 1 for me but then hesitate when I’m ready to order it 😂

Seen this review and it’s the 1 that has seriously made me consider it. I’m a big chap of 6”7 so have a wideboy bedchair for the length and the space inside looks massive for a brolly. The weight doesn’t put me off to be honest the lakes I go 2 you can park next to your swim or have a quad service that drops you gear off. 1 of my concerns was dirt getting into the Zip but in all honesty the lake I tend 2 go 2 for most of my overnighters 1 has clean bark swims so probably wouldn’t be bothered about using the ground sheet 2 much. The lake I would use it is on is gravel but has a lot or rats (which I hate) so the zip in sealed pod really appeals. not considered the size of the door flapping around so that’s a good point. But that said it will only be for 1 nighters over the summer. I have an aqua bivvy which I use for winter and longer sessions plus hopefully be 2 busy catching to worry about sleep lol.

After months of looking I’ve still not committed to anything. There’s just so much choice on the market. I’m now really tempted with the Proloic Commander VX3 system love the idea of the flat back and zip in groundsheet. Looks a quality piece of kit. Has anyone had anything to do with 1 or seen 1 on the bank?

Thanks that’s loads of help. I think he’s now looking at the st6000’s not 2 sure what 1’s he’s got exactly. But I know they have a gold spole.

Hi all. A friend of mine is looking for a bit of help or information on Shimano reels. He has 2 4500B reels and was looking to buy a 3rd but the no longer sell them. Does anyone know what they replaced it with. Trying to get as close match as possible without having to replace the other 2. Also can anyone recommend a Shimano reel that’s good for surface fishing?

I’m really impressed with the look of the wychwood. I think I will be treating myself on payday to 1. Thanks for the help 👍🏻

Not after hotel comfort by any stretch of the imagination. Just a bed that’s long enough so I don’t have to lay curled up all night. When the design fishing gear they don’t have tall blokes like me in mind. Mind you done hotel beds aren’t big enough either 🤣

Looks a nice bed as well. You both use 1? Wasn't looking at spending as much as the Nash really. Had around a £150 budget in mind.

Hi everyone. Im looking to pick your Brains I’m looking to get a bed chair but I’m 6ft 7 and am concerned about the length of beds. I’m currently using an old army folding bed which has seen better days. Does anyone know of any beds that are longer everything I seem to find is around the 2m mark. Which is not much good as I’m around 2m in height.

The avid really doesn't appeal to me at all. The tempest does look nice as well as easy to put up and spacious Inside. but you have to have the wrap to put a door on it. Not ideal for summer when you just want a mozy mess to protect you. Or do they do an attachable panel and I've just not see it?

Everything I'm reading about it would suggest that it's not all that big inside. I want something that is quick and simple to put up but I can still get a full size bedchair and my luggage inside, looking at the Tittan and fox Mk2 the seem to have plenty of space inside. But that said I don't want to go and splash 350 quid and end up wishing I had got something different!

Hi all im looking into getting a brolly for quick overnighters after work ideally I'm looking for something simple to put up as winter will be here and I'll be doing it in the dark. I have been looking at the fox MK2 system and the Nash titan full system. As well as the winter wraps. Has anyone got 1 of these or opinions on them? Or is there something else that you could throw into the pot. Cheers Tony

Suggestions on a new Bivvy
Chippie81 replied to Chippie81's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
Yh your not wrong. It's a big decision which is not helped by the vast choice on the market. I don't want to be in the position where I'm sat on the bank wishing I'd got a different bivvy. But that said I'm very impressed with what's on the market for not a lot of money. I'd figured that I'd need to spend around £350-£400 to get anything worth while with a wrap. So the fact that there's a couple of decent options for around £200 I'm considering getting a 2 man bivvy and a brolly system for just me during the summer. Plenty of room in the van to take both to the venue and use which ever suits the venue best. -

So you can get a wide boy and another bedchair inside the JRC STI? -

That's interesting cause 90% of the time I'll be on my own just need the space for the odd time my lad wants to come. So don't really want a monster bivvy. I take it then a bed chair fits across the back comfortably? I do like the look of the Carp-Zone that Dayvid suggested but my concerns are the 2man is going to be a monster and to big for smaller swims! -

Looks good and great value for money coming with the wrap. Is it easy enough to put up on your own? And could you get 2 bedchairs in there comfortably? -
Hi Everyone getting back into fishing after a long break and looking to do a few overnighters so need to get myself a new Bivvy. Anyone got any suggestions on a 2 man Bivvy it's been about 18 years since I last used 1 and it's fair to say they've changed some what and the market seems flooded with options for very reasonable prices. Don't really have a budget in mind the does seem a vast choice at around the £200 mark. Thanks Tony

That's good to know I'll stay well away from any TFG stuff. -

A reciver is a must for me really especially on the long cold winter nights. I really like the look of the ND K9's am a little worried they are a bit of an expensive gimmick, was hoping someone on here had seen or used them. -

There's a lot of love for fox here. I was worried that you were just paying for the brand. -

Thanks. The Dave Lang mags look very good value for money, surprised to find something that looks good quality for under £100. ATT's are slightly out of my price range they seem to be around the £300 mark. Would I be right in saying that you can't adjust the tone on either of these? Or is it done via the receiver?
