I'm sure you could catch on black pudding if it was presented correctly, they are after all swimming pigs and will eat anything! I don't think it would stay on a hair or hook very well, frying it to give it a skin may make it firmer or put it into a bait stocking so it can't fall apart.

 

I fished a lake in France and the owner used to put all the food leftovers into the lake so the bottom of the lake next to the lodge probably resembled a presentation like paulweller described :lol: That was the best swim that week as well :shock:
