Get in! I like the colouring of your Common , Kev . Is that an Italian strain , or is my memory playing tricks ? . 🤔

kevtaylor
Following on from my previous post I had 3 more during the session, made up as 3 of the 4 were on adjustable zigs in 20+ feet of water, got confidence in the method now looking forward to using them again soon. The only bottom rod was originally placed at the bottom of the first drop off in 12 feet, but after no action I moved it right back to 6ft and it went off the following morning. commonly, B B, Golden Paws and 3 others

Golden Paws
Went last weekend and the margins were black with tadpoles. After I netted a carp, there were about 50 static black dots in the swim. A quick check with the reading glasses (an age thing!) showed it was tadpoles that would have died so I managed to pick them all up and put them back. I was chatting to a bloke when I packed up and he had done well on zigs the previous week after spotting the tadpoles. Just got back from a 24 hour session on a runs water. Had 8 fish between 4 p.m. and 1 a.m. up to 17lb and after that the lake shut down and only had a few half pulls. They were showing all of the place, jumping and splashing and I think spawning is imminent. A couple of waters near me have already shut. kevtaylor

All started spawning round my end, I've shut up shop now until Mid June...

I went to Rossal Beach Blackpool tonight and caught 1 Bass, a baby Thornback Ray, a plaice and a doggy. A most enjoyable evening spent by the sea I loved it. elmoputney, B B, kevtaylor and 3 others
