Unfortunately having taken the boat, it seemed like a good idea to pile the bait in on 3 tight spots. The weather was pretty mild but the lake low and clear and I should have shown a bit of restraint. Especially as the bloke opposite was depth charging his side of the swim with a spomb! (which wasn't too far from mine.) Went out Saturday. Found a nice clear margin spot. Chucked a few handfuls in and cast out. Within 10 minutes a young lad started spombing 20 feet from the spot (in his own swim, to be fair, so no issue there) Packed up, moved swims. A hour later he'd gone! Grr! Anyway, I fear I've wandered off topic, as I didn't catch Golden Paws and crusian 1

Its-grim-up-north
A cricket bat I caught yesterday from a small water I’m fishing this autumn and upcoming winter. The stocks mostly small commons with some larger ones and about 3 or 4 stunning mirrors. Hopefully il be posting one of those mirrors over the next few months… Edited October 18, 2022 by Its-grim-up-north kevtaylor, emmcee, B B and 12 others
Its-grim-up-north
Feeder fishing on the river with my youngest little Oscar. We managed a few nice chub with blocks of bacon grill. (She was unhooked on some soft wet grass and safely returned in the net) just thought I’d get that in there lol. newmarket, ouchthathurt, crusian and 9 others

Nice one Thanks mate I appreciate it, I’ve found being confident with my bait and rigs has allowed me to focus more on my water craft which has resulted in more fish on the bank👍 emmcee and crusian

kevtaylor
A week of fishing with many ups and downs starting on the syndi then onto a day ticket. 7 nights fishing in total and only 36 hours where a bite seemed on the cards. Thankfully I made the most of that short period and had 5 out all doubles and 20s - no whacker but I really enjoyed the last 2 blank nights coz I was on the big fish buzz by that time and can't wait to have another go. New plans made for the syndi after finding the bailliff and his mate fishing my prebaited zones - here we go again - syndi life! crusian, emmcee, elmoputney and 6 others

Prob coincidence, I'm taking it as a sign that I'm thinking along the right lines in terms of picking the key areas for the different times of year and patrol routes etc I've now decided on a new little area nearby that will be left alone whilst continuing with the original zones - I'll just have to get there first next time or drop into my new hidey hole. 👀 newmarket and elmoputney
