callum23
What would happen if rods and reels aren’t balanced correctly? What are the side effects
callum23
For example I’ve got a tx2 shimano rod 11ft 2.75tc and a daiwa crosscast 5000c carp reel and everyone says it won’t balance but it doesn’t feel bad at all ?

If you are happy with it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks bud 👍 I don't think it would be too unbalanced though,

Some might say the big reel would feel better on a 12 or 13 ft rod but it's no big deal imo.
framey
The balance needs to be more with rod, line and hook rather than rod and reel. in the case of carp fishing most of the time they are sat on buzzers and only used to wind in or cast. a floater rod and reel may be different however as you might hold that one a lot so having it as light in the hand as possible is a good thing
Dicky123
I think the whole carp community would ban you for life from ever carp fishing again.🤣🤣 Thats if the rod balancing Police dont' get you first?🥰
bluelabel
I use Wychwood 5500 reels with my 9' 2.75lb dwarfs... work fine and look well nice... ignore the knockers and fish how you want to...👍 callum23 and framey
