Just had a quick couple of hours managed 5 fish to 8 3/4lb lost another at the net, these [censored]s went off at the same time the little one got in the reeds, so I put the rod down bought in the other one, quickly unhooked it in the net and the little blighter swum out, to land a nice little brace

Finished off this one at 8lb cracking little session, and back to the car before it started raining,

Did an after work Friday dinner to today. Ended up with 6 got a suntan Friday and soaked this morning...... and no waterproofs. It’s the first time I’ve been down the local since early spring so happy with my catch and no fish through the night so manage a decent kip after an early start for work for an early dart....... time for a Guinness now 😬😎🎣

The one with me pulling the face was the smallest at around 8lb so did the old hold it forward to make it look bigger trick...... for a laugh like, made my mate laff anyway 😬

Went down the lake with my float rod and a pint of maggots for a few hours.

Had a little Perch and a half decent roach to start.

Then at 6,30 the tench moved in.

Had an absolute beast that was definitely a  PB but had no scales with me.

Could of easy been double figures and I've seen others that look bigger still.

I thought I've got to try to get to grips with self take photos this morning, had a quick couple of hours on the club lake managed a small mirror and a lovely looking 8lb common, this should've been the pic of the 8lb common but after putting it back, I realised I hadn't put my phone back into camera mode 😀

Found myself with a few hours to spare yesterday tea time so went down the local for a few hours. Conditions was pretty much spot on to nick a bite so a quick mooch seen me find a few in the channel F25F05CC-80C8-47C4-A832-C6F0EDB6D166.thumb.jpeg.aff068f2a5d083dbf147453907b2327a.jpeg

After trying to place my pop up as carful as possible and flicked 6 crumbled down boilies a little at a time as not too spook them I thought my chance had gone as it went very quiet. I needed to be home for 8:30 so was clock watching a bit and thought my chance had gone as it was nearing 7:30. A few fish had drifted back in so I gave myself till 7:45 and that was me I’d have to go. Seconds later the line shot up and the tip bent round and I was into a fish that did it’s best to bed itself in them lillies. I never gave it an inch and steady pressure and walking back seen the fish kite into clearer water. I only went with minimal gear so didn’t bother to weigh it but it was a pretty fish so did a little vid and took some screenshots, not the best shots but wrapped up my wk end nice and I still got home for 8:30 😂😂😬😎🎣

No pic..... but my young Padawan finally bust his 20 with a 23lb 8oz (common) fish from one of our club waters last week....  he had it on a pop-up on a Ronnie on a 6' Scope snide on a couple of hours session after work.....

I'm dead chuffed for him as he's only been carping just over a year and he's learned quickly and become a tackle tart in the process.... I'm as chuffed for him as I would be if I'd caught it meself... he's had to weigh two of my 20's on his mat and scales in the last year so it's good he's managed one of his own... and it vindicates all I've taught him in the last year

The same way I’ve been fishing this season mate, short sessions during the week after work when the conditions are right, or doing quick sessions when the temperatures up nicking a few off the top. I’ve caught more fish than a few of my pals who have been doing 48 hour sessions every weekend. Love it

It’s the old saying mate, five minutes in the right place is better than 48hrs in the wrong place. Well done on having a few, mate. 😎🎣

Just back from a couple of days on Stanwicks swan pool, that was too hot even for me and i got nestled in a nice spacey opening in a wooded coppice peg. had four commons two mirrors and a Tench, all of the deck and all but one during the day.

They certainly liked the cov gold even in all that thick heat, other lads were fishing floaters and just couldn't get them to feed;

Last night was mental that thunder storm that came over was welcome but the lighting was near constant at one point, just my luck didn't the alarm go off in the middle of it all, luckily it wasn't a one toner, no way i was picking my rod up with all that lighting in the sky, so I let it bang around for a bit, those Nash cam locks kept everything firm and inplace, my rear banksticks where buried in the ground so i knew it was good to leave until the fish made a proper run, about an hour wait in all. then the storm had finally past over, so i got the fish sorted with a bit of sheet lighting heading away in the distance. The fish turned out to be a small mirror that got put back a lot quicker than it came out, lol i was soaked.

Some of the fish
