pixelmagic
A fox royale bivvy, a shimano st-ra 10000 reel, a korum 3 rod quiver, throwing stick, a bit box, some base mix and a pack of arma point hooks to try. Xmas cash is long gone!
39bof
At last got round to ordering a couple of short Stalking rods, (they should be ready in 3 - 4 weeks apparently). Ideal for use in a couple of swims that are quite overgrown, and are a nightmare to fish with 12ft rods. You either end up kneeling down to cast or "flicking" your rigs out from under the overhanging trees. Either way your accuracy goes to pot, and they are swims that need baits to be really tightly placed. Looking forward to using them in the Spring. reubenmills
Just got myself an avid Retaining Sling, looks good, Jrc High Care XL mat, which looks huge! And topped up with some new forceps and klin ik. All about Carp care this Christmas! Also got some Waders for work parties and lots of cold/wet weather gear. A pod I won't actually hate will be the last thing I get once I have saved some more money! Now to get it all messy and covered in fish..... ukfrosty
A Daiwa Regal-X 4500BR reel that arrived today. Chapmans are knocking them out at £30 a go. Thought it would be daft to pass this one by. These are great reels. I got some 4550 Z 10 years back and they are still going strong. I even caught a Thai catfish on one. Nearly snapped the stem off but I got it in. Had to be tested once! The drag was locked down but the fish just ran wherever it wanted for about 10 minutes. Daiwa's are built like tanks. BOF Many thanks for the email Chas, you saved me a packet! I am now awaiting the delivery of a couple of 8ft Glassfibre 2lb tc stalking rods off Ebay. Not flash, but good enough for the amount of time I will be using them, and they cost me peanuts.
