swcarpmad
Last week had a delivery of shedloads of ingredients, some tigers in Talin, ace bbp hooks, Diawa emblem s 5000t x 3, arma-kord 30lb, Gardner stiff material (cant remember name) but its good and some pva bags in extra small. That's me done till Xmas. any thoughts on arms kord as a hooklink rather than a abrasive leader material?
rfcarper
My newest purchases;Daiwa crosscast big pits X2 Wychwood signature 3lb tc rods X2 4 stainless steel buzz bars Fox m+ bite alarms X2 Loads of new end tackle Happy 21st birthday for me haha. What baits are paying off for you other carpers now the cold weather is coming in?? Welcome to the forum mate. Sounds like you had a great 21st I've still been using a food source boilie as the cold weather hasn't really bit yet. I'll be moving to maggots on one rod when I manage to get on the bank again and gauging it from there. Thankyou mate yes had an awesome 21st birthday with a few new purchases. Yes ive used the source in cold weather previously im fishing a real hard water at the moment and just need a few tips on cold Weather baits I always put a ball of maggots on one rod also. And I've also stopped real oily baits now the cold has hit. Also any good places in the west midlands area for overnights?? Hi mate, have you tryed rubber coated leadcore it's seems to lie better on the bottom of the lake bed as normal leadcore can sometimes get a crinkle in it and could spook fish as it doesn't look so natural. Hope this helps Tight lines

swcarpmad
i dont use leaders lol i use a leader material for my hair rigs. 30lb arma kord by korda. just wondered if anyone else used it for ther hair rigs or booms on combi rigs. as its stiff but supple. (strange i know). i hate leadcore and many other leaders because of what you said about the stuff kinking. its the same with many leaders. i use tubing if need be. thanks though

welder
Hats seriously toasty Always found that the gauge of wire used for maggo clips to be too thick, burst more than you thread I definitely need one of those hats, anyone who's met me will know why. Agree with Andy about the maggot clips, surely they could be made from a lighter gauge of steel wire. The available ones are just too obvious for want of a better description. smufter
Just purchased a couple of e-bay bargains to give me my 3 rod set up. Absolutely mint (you'd think it had never been used) Chub Outkast 2.75tc for £27.00 and a brand new (in box) Daiwa Regal Z 5000 BR reel....cost from the shops £80.00 picked it up for £36.00! So that's just over £60.00 for a rod and reel that I'd be happy to tip up anywhere with!

biff600
Popped out at first light today and had a short session at my local lake. Only the one fish, a 13lb common, but it fought like mad and must have taken me a good 15 minutes to land. Anyway, thats nothing to do with this thread, when I returned home there was a new Sonik Landing Net waiting for me. I'll be giving that a thrashing on Saturday !!!!
