tsuga
I've been making out Ok w/millet bait lately. The recipe is at one of the carp sites on the web. Use millet, Karo syrup (clear), flour, and bran (I usually add some flavor also). Keeps forever if, like me, you don't get to fish much. Get the ratios right so it's not too stiff to break well or too loose to cast. Don' remember the site. Try "making carp bait" or something similar, on a search engine. redmudd
10 cups millet 16oz light corn syrup 2 cups wheat bran 2 cups all purpose flour 1 tbs flavoring of choice ( optional ) Place all the dry ingrediants in a large bowl or bucket. Heat the syrup about 30 seconds in the microwave ( this makes it easier to mix ). Pour the syrup in with the other ingrediants and add flavoring if you want to. Mix together well, put it in a bucket with a lid on it, and let it set over night. It will last a long time as long as you keep the lid on it when your not using it. Breaks in about 1 1/2 minutes. I've been catching a lot of fish on this bait. Sometimes plain will work just as well as flavored. You can also reduce the amount of flavoring to weaken the flavor. Water temp. and clarity have a lot to do with what the carp want.
coltsphan
Pack 4 lbs.- Wheat Bran 2 lbs- Wheat Germ 2 lbs- Cracked Bulgar Wheat 2 lbs.- Steel Cut Oats 2 lbs.- Flaxseed 2 lbs- Hempseed 2 lbs.- Hard Wheat Berries 2 cans- Cinnamon 5 cans- Whole Kernal Corn 1/2 can- Coffee Creamer MIX In the biggest container you have dump all dry ingredients (not the creamer yet) and hand mix well. After mixed together add one can of corn at a time until all cans are gone. Make sure you mix all the way through Add the creamer and water until you are satisfied with the way it packs(DO NOT USE TOO MUCH WATER, YOU CAN ALWAYS ADD MORE, BUT YOU CAN'T TAKE IT OUT) This bait will only get better with time, the more soured it gets the better it is Each time you use it if it is too dry add corn a little at a time good luck

justcarpn
Hi .. Im new to this site and was curious of how u guyz r making your *Pack Bait* and what you r puttin n it ?...Ive got some soy bean and turkey feed plus some cocanut kid i make but was hoping 4 some nfo on how 2 make it a lil betta? any info would be greatful...thx alot here is something to ty out I don't know were that you fish the rivers or the lakes but if the river then just go with 3 times the flour. You want it to stay together longer at the rivers then the lakes for the way that the water is moving in them. we always look for a place were that the water was claim at to fish the rivers with our baits and they work great. Take 4 cups of the soy bean and the turkey feed don't use the one that is color for that it might kill the fish you know. They have two kinds of it that I know of. get some wheat bran and use the same of it and add 2 cups of creack cron to it also. mix it well and then add some beer to it okyou can add a 16oz at this time. take a couple of cups of flour and add a little at a time mixing it up well as you go. using the beer as you need to to keep it wet and so that you can get it to pack you know. now as you work this up take some and make a ball with it and this is for the lake pack it real heard and you want it to breack up in 2 mins I like 5 myslef. now you can use v8 juice in it also and ketchup or even a drinkl instand of the beer.something else good to use with the beer is kosher dill juice and yeast make a real good small for carp. if you use this when that you have it made set it in the hot sun for 4 hours before useing it guys. there you have it hope that it works for you i do. JustCarp'N on the house! it may take more flour then the 2 cups just add in small parts till you get it were that it needs to be.
