  1. ="gazmeesh"]this is the thing lol, no way on this earth will i ever accept that delks are better than the rx's but no way will you ever accept the rx's are better. it is all down to personal preferance really

pretty much what i thought when i had the RX's, then i went and bought some TXI's. and even if they are on a level par in terms of sensativity the delks still look better and sound better. you cant beat a delkim wobble

different strokes and all that though !!

    :D

  2. I've got a set of top of the range fox alarms and a set of delkim txi and there is no comparison the delkims are in a league of their own.

yup il second that i have Fox Rx Digital and TXI the delks are superior without a doubt although the RX's are still a damn good alarm !!

  3. No mate you will be fine genrally you the conversation goes as follows.

"Alright Lads, where are we off to then and what you carrying"

"were going fishing and we are carrying fishing tackle"

    "right ok on you go"

i think there must be something about fishing tackle and the vast quantities of stuff that fisherman carry that puts them off, because everytime we say were going fishing we get waved through yet every time im driving abroad for meetings i get searched.

can you imagine how long it would take to search all of the bags and boxes and bait that your carrying. they would need all day lol.

As for knifes scissors sharps ect that is only a problem you will come up against at an airport, you can buy a swiss army knife on a ferry they even have proper knife and forks in the food areas so no problem there.

also bait is no problem either infact i think thats what puts them off searching the car in the first place to be honest !!

  4. Im not sure if you are on facebook or not but if you are add them as a friend and ask some questions on there for an indpendant view.

by the looks of it there are some stunning carp in Boyton Cross.

im sure there will be people at Cleverley that have fished boyton or do i will ask about for you.

you will certinally find alot of information on the mere though if you google it, infact i think last months BC had an article on Boyton Cross in it and this Months has one about the Mere titled my year on the Mere !!

  5. they are a great read mate and il second your 10/10

I fished in Holland last year we treid absinth for the mind meld moment it doesn't work, but does give you a nasty headache in the morning certinaly not recomend as drink by the lake either

the forgoton chapters by Gaz Fareham is pretty good read as well, bit chunky to take fishing but its lots of short stories from differant anglers some well known some not as well known and there conquest for certain fish. that way you can read a couple of chapters then get some kip cos the following chapter is a whole new story

some stunning pictures in there as well

  6. i'd probably go to about 100- 150 maybe a bit more if i could afford it or know i can visit it every week or every other week

our local clubs are 100-150 quid, syndicates, your looking at £300 easy for an average ticket down here plus a waiting list that could be as long as your arm if you dont know the right people. do you really have local syndicates that are in the £100 to £150 bracket maybe a decent club with plenty of waters to offer would be your best course of action and spend the extra on tackle bait and car insurance

that might be a good idea it would just be nice to know whats available and whats good as i really want to do what i done at pool hall and tackle a single water hard for a long time and get some of the bigger fish out but pool hall has gone way to over fished and pressured and over stocked ad i hate the new owner :lol: so i need somewhere new

do you have any local clubs with decent fish in you can concentrate your efforts on, top waters comand top money im afraid, i will ask someone i know in Redditch if he knows of anywhere that may be suitable

thanks mate i just wish car insurance wasn't so much for learner drivers would be a big help but yeah just pm me if you know of any waters :) thanks

no probs, unfortunatly your are being punished as a result of the ambulance chacing blame claim society in which we live in these days and the reality is you have at least 5 years of driving ahead of you before you see change in your insurance, keep your head down avoid the temptations that are put in front of you everyday and be carful and all that money you saved from driving sensibly which you eventually save can be spent on loose women, good nights out and fishing tackle and you can waste the rest of it

il drop you a message once i spoke to him but it could be a couple of days

  9. just keep it simple and you will catch, it doesn't see a great deal of preasure so i wouldn't worry about getting riggy or techy on your baits. if i was fishing there myself i would probably take my float fishing gear some sweetcorn ect. I may be up there at the weekend, not fishing but i can have a word and find out the crack for you

  10. is there a freezer you can use on site? if so you can always bring your bait back.

Hemp.Maize party blend all great for bulking out your bait and keeping the fish feeding.

in my opinion the key is watching the spots you want to fish like Keenook said the people the week before could have pilled it. if they are having it and getting on the food a good starting point would be two kilo per rod per day so 30kilo over 5 days for 3 rods.

Also if you have the place to yourself this will allow you to bait up a few margin spots ect and go stalking, which will make it easier to see if the food you have put down has gone.

you could always get yourself 20 k of one and 20 k of another many companies offering a good quality bait will do you a deal on 20 k.

Just remember that you can always add to the lake but not take it out. but you dont want to get stuck away from home running out of bait if you have the ability to keep it frozen.

  11. Hi all,

any recomendations for a lake suitable for 4-5 anglers that do private whole lake bookings.

trying to find somewhere suitable for a social, all experienced anglers looking for good looking well looked after fish, the chance of a few bigguns would be a bonus but not essential as long as they are in good nick.

it would also be an added bonus if the fishery it's self was a pretty lake and not to large.

i may be asking to much but any ideas please feel free to let me know or pm me if your worried about letting the whole world know

    Cheers

    Dan

  12. you could use the rig marole free fall tubing and there freefall tubing micro beads to create a chod without leadcore.

the tubing is a plastic coated stainless steel continious coil that sinks pretty well.
