  1. Hi mate, Leadcore's like marmite you either love it or hate it. I love it. Leadcore does'nt kill carp it's bad angler's that do. As for your choice of rig's there any many options out there for you, Personnely my favourite's the Chod or the hinged Chod for popups, but it's how you mount them to make it safe to use. I think by far the best option is to use the helicopter setup with any choice of rig. Altough at the end of the day there is no choice of setup that is 100% safe. But as you gain exspirence and by listening and learning from others its less likely you make the wrong choices. I dont mean to be a bore. I hope it helps. Tight Lines
  2. Stay at home and watch Matt Hayes on Discovery
  3. I'd buy the the solar hook link material dont think you can get much better weed affect than that. However i still stand by what i have said before that the solar leadcore leaders are fish killers as it clearly states on the packet ideal for helicopter/chod rigs how can this be when the beads get jammed up in the material and cant slide off.
  4. HI Folks, Have you fished Willen lake (the lower lake) in Milton Keynes... Only its been mentioned and im thinking of giving it ago would like to know its Bad/Good points please... Your help is always very grateful Thanks Chris Lowe
  5. MMmmmm Well i've been and had a look and i have mixed thoughts. First off a lovely mature tree lined water. Fish- From what i could see on the surface 2day theres a good head of carp however they did'nt look to be as many twentys as people say (i could be wrong however) mostly mid to high doubles. BaitBoats- why oh why you need 1 on here is beyond me as leggs says at it widest point i would say no more than 70-80yrds across. Security-looks pretty good however i did ask the question about the tackle theft as leggs has pointed out, unfortuntly confirmed to be true however Baz did say the first time in 7 yrs he know of this has happened. Anglers- A few numpties thats correct but they were not saving swims, even worse the 1 lad was around 90yrds away from his rods Bad angling in my book. but to the credit of head baliff Baz he was warned and told he's of if his caught again Altough it seemed very quite and i have to say my knid of lake im going to have to think about this 1 as im not sure its worth the £250.00 Keep your Comments coming please!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Hi bud, Its not an easy venue mate so dont go thinking your going to bag up. Thankfully i have always done ok down there. my advice to on peg 6 is to 1 rod with a stringer to a hole in the reed bed to the front of the island on your right and a second rod same method to the back of the island on your right fishing it locked up. get a good drop as close to reed beds as possible and leave it alone, dont pile the bait in as they dont respond to it. If you have a threed rod then put this 1 to the reed bed in front of you to the left fish it short hook links and use sweetcorn on this 1. hope it helps mate as there some stunning carp in there upto 30 but the so called forty has'nt been out in 10 yrs or so let alone seen in that time.

  10. Hi folks, Has anyone fished rocia lake on the great linfords complex at this time of year any advice would be greatful as its a new water for me.
  11. Funny you should mention this Zam. My syndicate 18 acres full of deep silt and shallow. I too have been using the naked chod rig/stiff hinged rig withs great success and in my eyes its the only way to present a bait in these conditions. As for using a bag with the chod its somthing i have done but the differance being i use a bag and put the lead inside and fill with stickmix/liquids instead of threading on the hooklink. my reasons for doing this is it stops the lead sinking into the silt far as i tend to trap as much air in the bag as i can, and it gives you added attraction nr your hook bait
  12. If you understand location (WATERCRAFT) and find the fish then they are very catchable. You must also choose the right venue. Yes Carp dont feed as much, but they do feed if the lakes are fishable that means fishing for me instead of being tucked up in the warm watching fishing dvd and dreaming about it. What Are You Doing?
  13. Yes mate theres 3-4 of use fishing it days only in 2011, a few lads night fish it but not that many 2-4 at the most on weekends. Hope you can put up with all the bull"""" from the lamb AC
