i've never fished bestwood, nice looking place though.i was thinking about going this year,i've heard they've introduced more carp into the waters there is this true?

it is quite an untidy place, the owner has tried to keep it natural as pos,but you will catch double figure carp every time.its very easy the ponds arnt big.early tomid summer you can catch at least 5 doubles,but there are alot of large bream and tench aswell which would happily take your bait

i know people who have the notts anglers and there ponds are cheaper to fish and there are some nice ones like bestwood.i've been fishing at higham because its only 10 min away from me and i dont have alot of time.

lol its built onthe back of the hotel, yes it is expensive but you will catch double figured carp everytime.it is very well stocked

you could try a few ponds that i have found,they are in a place called higham in alfreton. if you google higham hotel you'll get the postcode for it.theres 1 lake you can only fish nights but the other 3 from dusk till dawn. everytime i've been no matter what pond i'm on i always catch double figure carp.recently i was told by the owner that i had the record out weighing 31lb 9oz mirror.there are varied species of fish in all lakes and everyone catches,i've known people to take out 17 tench in an 8 hour session. its £7 for 2 rods on the day tickets and £25 for the night good look
