  1. Try using a piece of pva foam squeezed onto the hook or a small pva bag the size of a golf ball. Also when casting use your line clip or stop the spool just before the rig hits the water. this will cause the hooklength to straighten out. Also sometimes a small piece of Kryston Heavy Metal putty on the hooklink, a third the way along from the hook end, will help the rig kick out straight when settling on the bottom. I can guarentee you this will work, because i do it every time i cast and i never have tangles. all the best mate
  2. Get on the Chod!! Ive caught all my fish this season on the Chod rig! Carp hunt for naturals like Daphnea, shrimps, snails in the weed, especially this time of the year when they need to build up vital protiens etc prior to spawning. You can actually buy these natural foods dried from www.ccmoore.com! Personally i spread bait out over area about 6 meters square using spod or catapult. Get the carp searching around in the weed for your baits and when they come to the choddy they will take it because they dont have to rummage through the weed to find it
