  1. hi mate, i used to fish long lake a couple of years ago, never had any bother myself but did hear a few rumours, last time i fished it there were a few fish going belly up but the baliff didnt seem that bothered so i never went back, as far as the fishing goes try and go during the week , its nice and quite, its had some lovely carp in there with a good average weight [around the 20 mark] and some massive cats [ over 100] staying mobile seemed to work best for the carp and stalking in the corners could be very productive, hope this helps, mufty
  2. i have heard it mentioned that the colour red becomes invisible under water, just wondering if that means that carp cannot see red boilies? mufty
  3. well hello, im going for a 24 hour at greenacres in kent on saturday, never fished this before and the website doesn't give a lot of info, just wondered if anyone has fished this recently and how they got on, cheers guys mufty
  4. personally i fish the two speci lakes, 7 and 8, tbh mate its a bit of false advertising as the average size is low to mid double but ive had some good fun on them lakes and they have some lovely ghosties and koi,a lot of the bigger fish seem to come from the margins, and the middle of the lakes are extremely snaggy, hope this helps henry, cheers mufty
  5. hi mate, a couple i would recommend are monk lakes in kent and frant lakes near tonbridge, both have around 7 lakes, lots of options, but i would avoid weekends in the good weather, they get rammo, cheers mufty

  13. are delkims really worth the money, perhaps someone can educate me, what makes them so special? , i use a set of bite alarms made by stillwater and if i get a run the alarm sounds, just the same as other bite alarms but at a fraction of the price, just don't get why people would pay so much money for them cheers mufty
  14. if thats the case im going tomorrow
  15. try and lenghten the rig by a couple of inches mate
  16. If thats the case with the birds then I really must get one and try it cause they are driving me nuts. i swear mate , not a single bird has taken my bait with this float mufty
  17. i used this float for all my surface fishing last year, it definately didnt spook the fish, and an added bonus is the birds leave your bait alone as they can see the line going down to it, allways carry a couple with me everywhere i go now, also i use 15lb sensor as the hooklink, works fine. mufty
