  1. Hi guys, just getting back in to carp fishing, when i started i fished syndicates like Wentworth lakes and mostly went night fishing to places like sapphire, i never actually did Day sessions so to speak, I know theres stubbs hall but its an absolute dive and i wouldn't be seen dead there lol, So basically can anyone recommend any decent carp water within an hours drive to rotherham, Day ticket lakes, Not pole bashing lakes, rods reels and alarms lakes lol. Ive searched and checked the forums and best i can seem to find is alderfen lakes near doncaster but its very weedy and my friend is kind of Newbie and want him to at least get 1 run, i don't mind blanking tho lol. thanks sam
  2. yea i heard that aswel, The info i gathered so far is some one called oliver has taken over, And is not using an english Agency yet, Only dutch atm, I Believe he is taking direct booking for english, its a shame cos this lake was amazing when we went hope its still as it was
  3. Hi guys, Been a while since i been on here as i been out the fishing game for a while due to money circumstances, But things are on the up and im eager to get on the bank!!!! wat more reason to look at france haha I been trying to book for lac de passion for some reason none of the numbers on the websites get any luck, i did however manage to speak to a french guy about the lake, only took me 2days to get a number to contact them, I thought it had closed down. Has anyone been there since Tony left ? Any news at all on the place, Things do not seem to be very organized anymore at all, even just getting a contact number for the place was a ball ache ! I've been to France 3 x already. Rushes lake - 5* Valle Lake - Wouldnt go back Lac De Passion - Not too sure now ! I would like to return to rushes but my fishing buddy wasn't too impressed with the size of the fish i caught, he was amazed at how many tho, Im trying to talk him into rushes as i thoroughly loved it. I did really enjoy Passion and my buddy would go there as the average fish size was real good. If no info on this can anyone recommend a good lake around the £300 mark, large enough for 4-5 anglers, with a good decent size average please, I been out of the game a few years and all i have to rely on is my old info, "OLD" lol. thanks guys. sam
  4. yup same as pal, al be at sapphire some time this mnth for the weekend too once again lol
  5. hi guys basically me and my friends have given up our ticket for the local sydicate as the price has gone sky high and they are taking the micheal lets say. hmm, i dont want to be going to day ticket waters that are run by idiots and is full of idiots that dont know what there doing, (you know the ones, no mats etc etc), although i will go to good dayticket lakes if there is any around me that ive missed over the years. Im looking for a decent lake with 20-30lb mark fish not too fussed on the head count as we do like a challenge through out the year, i dont mind traveling anywere as long as its not over an hour away, im inbetween barnsley, doni, rotherham. If anyone has any info on such a place, also there is 3 of us that are looking for a place. Pvt messages welcome. thanks guys.
  6. eyup pal, am inbetween barnsley and doni, to be honest mate in the last 4-5 years of me carp fishing i have travelld about pal nothing really any decent around our way, most places filled with idiots and all the decent places are sydicates that you must have a gold pig and a flying carrot to get on the waiting list. but if you do find anything, let me know lol. where about in doni you moving mate ? could hook you up with one or two half decent waters around out area if you drive... also do you match fish, or carp (specimen) only ?
  7. hi just been for a walk round worsborough dam with a friend, looks nice and big, my kinda water, any one know anything about this place ? carp stock sizes etc, tactics where abouts to fish, there was some guy there with a nod pod managed to squeeze a few sentences outa him. but not really anything to go on.
  8. hey mick, i never heard of that place, u will have to let me know how u get on there mate, heres a link to my photobucket album with all fish and pics from lac de passion http://s139.photobucket.com/albums/q285/sonex666/lac%20de%20passion%202011/
  9. hey pal. just got back from lac de passion last week, 4 of us went and all come back smiles. the fishing is 2nd to none. lots of 30s out and 2 40s. 55+ fish alltogether, I would defo get the food package again its 10/10 and tony (bailif) is a top guy and can help out endlessly, there was nothing at all any of us cud complain about. can put some pics up for you if you like. Also read our catch report in the book if u go. its in april, titled proper yorkshire men ! lol.
  10. best/nicest place i been is sapphire lakes at newark not 2 far away. cromwell is just around the corner, its ok if u fancy rakeing out ur own swim and paying a months wages to night fish lol. smeatons ok 2 a friend had a nice 20 out about a month ago
  11. hi mate, 1 rod licence in about £50 i just got my double rod licence after waiting 2 years that was £110, 2nd dam is hard but is very rewarding, trigga has always worked for us, for best results just bang 2 on a stringer and cast as far into the middle as u can, and leave it all day, (IT WILL GO) and for the 1st dam we used triggas and mainline fusions, pva bag and scatter lots around and wait, best times are 1st light and last light, mite see u around there some time.
  12. cheers dave, off again this weekend if the weather pics up. will see what happens. !!
  13. am going to be visiting some time this week to have a look around.
  14. sorry mate, just read on another thread you been before. thought you was new to the place. just stick to yellow corn as usual. i was there about 3weeks ago, had a nice common about 16lb. was stupidly hot though. a good few fish came out that weekend., edited for text talk AGAIN
  15. hiya mate what weekend you going ? might see you there, you dont need much bait, if any at all. im a regular and best tactics are tight up to reeds/margins, with fake yellow corn. dry a few bits of real corn out, about 4-10 pieces, little pva bag with 1 crushed up boilie. any more bait seems to turn them away. believe me ive tried lol. lovely fish in there and graham is a sound bloke who runs the lake well. It is a HARD water so go with confidence and hope for the best. sam. edited for lots of text talk (nearly deleted)
