That's the Solar buzzer bars with the goalpost adaptors, so I can use either pod or sticks.
With the ground being so soft sticks work.
Had to keep the tips up, still a lot of weed about.

salokcinnodrog reacted to kevtaylor in Where do you normally purchase your fishing tackle?
The Tackle Box, Kent - online, great customer service, great shop. I'm in the midlands so not local by any means. I will not support Angling Direct if at all possible, just a personal choice 👍
I go to a tiny local shop where possible for small stuff, just to try and help, or they will all be gone.

Local tackle shops, AR tackle, Hastings angling centre or Sues cabin in Rye. I rarely buy online unless I’m struggling to find it locally. You don’t get the chat or local knowledge, you can’t get the gossip or tap up the local grapevine online like you can in a decent tackle shop

I googled it, 3552
I might actually have been bored enough myself to play with the mathematics so came up with 3000.

I’ve got great faith in maggots when it’s cold, I’ve been very lucky with my autumn/winter captures whilst using maggots in the past, so I’ll keep them in mind once the water temps drop.

The eyebrow shaving was an experiment, not to be repeated. I looked very clean but permanently astonished.
Oh, and no, I didn't pencil them back on. I grew them back in a fetching shade of grey. Greyness being to cause of the experiment...........
Ian.

salokcinnodrog reacted to Steve O in The Bankside Diner what's on the menu??
First weekend on a new water and eating well. Thanks Steve R who had fed me well. Bacon and egg roll as soon as I pulled in the car park and walked round the lake. Stir fry, soup and bread. Top fella considering only just met him.

Conquer the streets with Urban Cargo Streetwear Trousers – your ticket to urban dominance. These trousers are a masterclass in design, fit, and style, making you the urban influencer. Embrace them to establish your authority in the urban landscape, setting the pace for the trends to follow.
That is a big promise from a pair of cargo pants 😂

I used to use special shaped ones particularly as hookbaits, avoiding round ones the same size as my freebies on the hook.
Glugged cubes or larger baits that stood out meant I never mixed my baits up.

Homelessness could be fixed, immigration could also be fixed, it is a political choice to not fix it, blaming the immigrants is what the government want you to do.It is better than blaming them,it also keeps us divided, they would rather stoke up culture wars than fix the country they chose to ruin, they blame covid, wars, immigrants, and everyone else but for some mad reason people still vote for a party that has literally underfunded or sold off everything that was great about this country.

Post it on Facebook and the male and female Karen's will accuse you of racism. I pointed out that economic migrants were being housed first to a local councillor, who I actually knew, and got unfriended on Facebook. He didn't physically speak to me for 5years.
I'll stop there, this is a new purchase thread, not a rant at the iniquities, rights and wrongs of migration.
I've bought another 20kg of RH KMG in both 15 and 20mm. I found it more consistent for takes than Infusion and the Infusion is currently not available, so it's an easy choice. I also added a kilo of Monster Crab 20mm boilies for chub and barbel.
More PVA bags, leads and bits on the same order.
I think that the winter will be fishing over small amounts of boilies with KMG and the dreaded pink pop-up in my favourite flavour as well as using up my pink Infusion pop-ups.

Can I Slightly rephrase you post
it should not be racist to believe that a country should….
-
salokcinnodrog reacted to Golden Paws in New purchases
It's not racist to believe that a Country should look after it's own people, not give 5 star treatment to people who turn up in a boat and jump the queue for housing and benefits.

The housing system is screwed. Local authorities have taken away many homeless units, for other purposes. In Ipswich the big homeless unit on Woodbridge Road was converted into an offshoot of the hospital. One of the others was turned into private housing, no local authority accommodation. The hotels that were for British homeless, don't ask, I'll get accused of racism.
I spent a year sofa surfing, and 6 months living out of a backpack in a tent. It wasn't the local authority that picked me up, it was a charity.
When the local authority eventually offered me a flat, the first one was in an awful state as it stood, in a very rough area. Cracked glass in the double glazed windows, concrete floors that were pitted and electric wires hanging out of boxes. This was the state I was expected to take it in, and make it liveable myself.
I'm not fussy, but safe would be nice!
I've been forced to live in a tent or bivvy while homeless, so I know exactly what it is like.

Owners & bailiffs all have their own weird and wonderful rules and theories.
Many of which are complete & utter cow dung!
If he said you can't use that rod then I'm afraid you'll have to oblige.
If you know you can play and land a lump safely, then crack on my friend.
I've had a 20lber on an 8ft 1.75tc travel rod, blooming good fun😊

Treated my 10year old Solar pod to a new bag as the old one is splitting.
My alarms and indicators will all fit in as well
