  1. Our syndicate works in a very similar manner to be fair. It is a method that we find very beneficial. Our primary concern is fish care & welfare, our rules reflect this and we use this vetting process to ensure that any prospective members have the knowledge, experience and are able & capable. It also allows us to have the opportunity to discuss this & various other aspects of the syndicate face to face on the bank. We use it as a two way process, we encourage the person to ask us anything they want to know as well. We are not interested in how good a carp angler anyone might be, it's purely to ensure that we are comfortable that they fish safely & look after any fish caught properly.
  2. Some of the responses go to prove that no matter what you do or write someone will always have an opinion that differs from what was intended. The danger of the written word, it's not always read as written.
  3. Well the waiting lists weren't full when we opened them & the site! Do you suggest we shut the site now the list is full? And there is always next year? After all, that's the whole point of syndicate advertising & waiting lists!
  4. No we are covered for members, just getting the fisheries out into the public as always been no publicity, that's changed & looking to develop the waiting lists
  5. There are a lot of stunning big fish across all the lakes, glad you like what you see.
  6. West Stow is now fully otter fenced, bearing in mind this is a 17 acre lake, that's a massive undertaking. For those that are not aware, this lake has already produced at least 6 different 40's in its history, with the lake record currently at 45lb 4oz. We have a very large number of 30lb plus fish in there & a very well managed stocking program that will ensure the future of the fishery. The Nunnery lakes have a well proven pedigree of large carp, venue record is a Common over 48lb (this fish is probably over 50lb now!!) However we currently have at least 14 fish over 40lb on the complex!! As well as a very large head of 30lb plus fish!!
  7. Feel free to post a reply or PM me with any questions you might have.
  8. Bobs & E has a very big head of carp. Unfortunately it has had a bit of an otter problem as the BTO won't let us fence this lake in. However the predation has been very minimal. The recent Xmas match that a few if the lads fish every year produced several fish to a few ounces under 30lb. There are several carp over 30 in there up to mid 30. Stick at it, talk to longer term members & suss out best swims, rigs & bait. There are plenty of runs waiting to happen.
  9. There have been a few losses on West Stow, however as of today the lake is now fully fenced in. This will eliminate any problem we have had. The lake has a fabulous stock of stunning fish, with a large number of 30lb plus fish & an on going stocking program. On the Nunnery, the main carp lakes, A lake & D lake have been fully fenced in for sometime now & haven't had any losses to otters at all.
