    April catch reports

Alright strangers. Not been on here properly for a while as I've been putting 110% into a new job for the last 6 months, not to mention my daughter who just turned 1 year old. This week I managed to get on the bank for just the 2nd time since last August (!). Had a good'n that I thought you'd like!

    Back to pastures old

My view from the scratcher, it's pretty rainy, been solid for the last couple of hours, should be a gap at 8am when I will start the pack down ready to go back to work. I was pretty efficient last night rods all out nicely by midnight all got a donk. Asleep by 1, now I am just hoping I find a carp stupid enough to spring the traps. Left rod is the fix boilies whole and chops with squid 2t pop up, Middle is a solid bag with tigers and a few boilies the right hand rod is reaper nut mix whole nd chops and match the hatch pop up. I'm giving them options and so far they re turning there noses up at all of em 😂

  7. A rod shot cos it's another blank. But rods came out at 8 30 and back at work now. Shame because it started feeling like there was a chance when the rain stopped but it is what it is.

  9. Well , had 4 days planned at churn pool with 3 other mates arrived Monday feeling fine , but by Monday night was feeling like death warmed up sickness/ shivering/ aching all over. So had to reel the rods in & they didn't go back out. back home now in bed wondering what a good session it could of been as I did manage to catch before the sickness kicked in . Managed to brake my run of blanks which I'm happy about , but I know it could of been a blinder ,just my luck at the moment it seems 🙈

First carp of the year was a bream! Yuck. Slimy brute. No picture of that! Second was a carp. Maybe just a double but great fun on light feeder gear (4lb hooklink)

Alas a blank for me, could have stayed another 24 hours but was packed up and away by 8am as rain was forecast for 12 I fished well no dramas, highlight of the trip was watching a mid 20 swim lazily under by rod tips 🙄

I probably couldn't even catch that at the moment. I found it quite harsh for a few days though it can knock you about, good effort catching those though that's a good session right there tbh.

  21. I suppose I might as well admit to catching from the syndicate lake. I'm not normally worried about ounces, but this time I kept a close eye as we have been going with a regular stocking policy, and was stocked in December 2021 at 16lb. Its now 23.12 Multi-rig with a 3oz running lead again. The buzzer woke me up, but my first thoughts were not polite as I saw a pair of tufties scooting away, followed by 'that's not a tufty'.

    Thought of the Day pt.2

Im really, really annoyed by petty crime, again.🤮 I've got 2 vans, both have been broken into by drilling holes in the sidedoor panel where the latch is. First time they took 3 cordless tool around £400 new. Damage to the doors at £1k. This week, they damaged the latch so couldn't get in?? Estimate £1.5K. The tools we use are only around £7-800, so not worth insuring due to £500 excess. Same for the damage caused, not worth claiming for!! Quote for dead locks £500 each van. So for a these parasites looking for an easy score it's cost me around £3k😭😭😭 Not a happy chappy
