When your up in the early hours its dark or any time really and it’s cold, windy, wet and you reel in hopefully with a fish 🤞 I do not want to be fumbling about with cold fingers in a damp bivvy making bags mate. I want to use the sticks loop a bag on and hopefully hit the clip 1st time if not wind back in and repeat … and their was a couple of repeats on my last trip 😔 then you got the bird life that could wipe out your best laid plans…. But I enjoy it all 😂

12” of lead free or leadcore loop in one end and a big loop in the mainline then loop to loop them on 12” gives a nice amount out the back of the bag. don’t use the plastic stem to be extra safe just the buffer bead to hold the swivel in

Thanks tablecloth ala dunelm it's exotic 😂 No the knot would be fine no different to any other I don't think I use the gemini tidy stems and they fit a fox lead which has a 5.75mm bore with the insert removed so it should always free the lead on a break, maybe it could be neatened with a short length of silicone or tubing to cover the loop and knot might be OK but that would need to be the same thickness as the stem so the lead didn't catch on it, as Charlie said gemini do connectors, i couldn't find one that may just neaten it up a treat

That was a interesting post 👍 The first bag of bait i bought was frozen Richworths tutti, awww what a smell we used it on carp societies horseshoe and had some fish on it Mainlines Cell changed my results every one was using it on Linear god knows how much they sold of it.

Since I happen to finish work early and by chance I had a bit of fishing gear handy and incredibly would you believe it I was passing a fishery on the way home well I just had to wet a line. No carp fed but the skimmer bream did and Roach. ..

Oh just to clarify it's obv I like and have respect for Mr Berry what he does with lakes is a carp anglers dream the work he puts in is out of pure love for angling as he don't need to, his main fault in my opinion and most people are the same is his speed to judge people and a brutal form of mickey taking I have no problem with the latter as I'm a bit mean myself. Yes lake owners are on topic as they do the banning and the reason Chris removed my ticket is he could see it was a real struggle for me to pay for it when it went up to 700 for the year that was me out the game if I'm being honest... could of done me a weekday special.

Had a trip to B1 at Linear and blanked apart from 2 small jacks on the spinner gear… on the plus side the heated bag was heavenly ..

rods out for a few hours this morning, one dropped run and a 7lb bream. My carp drought continues on this water.
